Tribute - Helen Tadd

On Thursday 28 March 2019, Helen Tadd, wife of W.Bro. Phil Tadd and a dear friend to so many, passed away peacefully after a short and very unexpected illness.

Less than five years ago, Phil, Helen and their guests had gathered at the Westwood Centre to celebrate Phil and Helen's wedding. Nobody could have guessed how short their subsequent time together would be but Helen and Phil were together for many years and the love and happiness they shared would be the envy of many others.

I'm sure that anyone, who knew Helen, would agree that it was impossible to have a conversation with her without laughing at some point. Helen's 60 years were far too few yet, in that time, she touched the hearts of so many people and has left behind a huge legacy of love. Fittingly, as she would have wished, her sad passing gave the opportunity for her to help so many people in need of transplants and, as she would have liked, some cats as well.

Phil's daughter, Alice, summed up how Helen was loved in a poem she wrote, which can be seen below. The report of Helen and Phil's wedding can also be seen at the end of this page. It goes without saying that we are all so much the better for having known such a lovely person.
